Genre: Alternative Rock Hallucination, a one-session-write with frontman Olly Dyer and guitarist Alfie Smith. Powerhouse drums enriched by melodic bass grooves bass lay the foundation to a story of nightmares. The song explores a parasocial relationship between the protagonist and a hallucination. Olly draws upon his hypnagogic hallucinations and night terrors which have inspired his lyric writing and psychedelic concepts. Produced and mixed by Fraser Moran at Platoon 7 studios, London, the recording of the song spanned the summer months of 2026 the track was fully mixed and then mastered by Kevin Tuffy. It begins a fragile folk tune, which gradually unfolds into a guitar-driven alternative rock number, lyrically eliciting the key themes of dreams, love and fear.

The Uk-based band, Wax Boy, are an emerging four-piece alt-rock outfit. They’ve developed a sound very much influenced by the rockier undertones of Wunderhorse, Nirvana’s guttural grunge riffs, in company with the introspective lyricism of their musical heroes, Radiohead. Currently in the process of releasing their fan favourite track, ‘Hallucination’, Wax Boy are excited to announce the release date of their debut single as the 19th November.
